Behind the Scenes

January 2025 - New Beginnings: Doctor of Social Work (DSW) Journey Continues

This January, I started my second semester in the Doctor of Social Work (DSW) program at the University of Buffalo. I’m continuing my educational journey to enhance my understanding and ability to help others, especially in the areas of social work and empowerment. Excited for the semester ahead and the knowledge I’ll gain to further support my life coaching clients and their growth!

February 14, 2025 - Reading to 4th Graders for Valentine’s Day

On Valentine’s Day, I had the heartwarming opportunity to partner with a fellow DSW colleague and read my book "Can You Keep A Secret?" to 4th-grade students at a local elementary school. The kids were learning about safety as part of the “Child Safety Matters” curriculum from the Monique Burr Foundation, and my book was a perfect fit. It was a beautiful experience to contribute to their learning and connect with them on a day that celebrates love and safety.

April 2025 - Self-Love Empowerment Workshop for Single Mothers

In April, I’m thrilled to be hosting a Self-Love Empowerment Workshop tailored specifically for single mothers. This workshop will focus on personal empowerment, building self-worth, and strategies for creating a healthy balance in life. I can’t wait to guide and support these amazing women as they learn to prioritize their well-being while navigating the challenges of motherhood.

February 2025 - Black Power Marketplace: Empowering Communities

In February, I had the privilege of being a vendor at the Black Power Marketplace, hosted by the Community Justice Initiative. This Black History Month event brought together small business owners from African American communities, and it was a wonderful celebration of culture, joy, and empowerment. I was able to promote my book "Can You Keep A Secret?" and connect with attendees, city council candidates, and fellow entrepreneurs. It was a fantastic experience!

March 2025 - Spring into New Beginnings

March marks the start of spring—a season of renewal and new beginnings. I’m excited about the fresh energy and opportunities this season brings, both for my personal growth and for my clients. This is the perfect time to reflect on goals, set new intentions, and embrace all the possibilities that lie ahead. Happy Spring, everyone!

Words of Encouragement: It's Never Too Late to Get Back on Track

We’re a few months into 2025, and I want to check in with you: How are you doing with your goals so far?

If you’ve hit a rough patch or are feeling behind, you’re not alone. Progress isn’t always linear, and it’s okay if things haven’t gone according to plan yet. The great news? You still have many months left in 2025—so let’s keep going!

I came across an inspiring quote recently: “No More Procrastination.” It was a reminder that every day is an opportunity to take even small steps forward. Even if it’s just a little progress each day, it counts.

Remember, it’s perfectly fine if things aren’t perfect right now. What matters is that we keep moving forward, even on the tough days. Let’s use every new day as an opportunity to get closer to our goals, no matter where we are in the journey.

Empowerment Book Recommendation: From Limitation to Liberation

IMG_3064.jpeg

I’m thrilled to share a powerful new book by my fellow empowerment coach, Dr. Maryann Rivera-Dannert—"From Limitation To Liberation: 50 Mindset Shifts for Women Who Dare." In this book, Dr. Maryann offers invaluable mindset shifts for women who are ready to break free from limitations and embrace their full potential. Having had the honor of being a guest on her Fearless Friday's Podcast, I can personally attest to her passion for empowering others. This book is a must-read for anyone looking to step into their greatness!
